Focused on the Future of the Industry

As early as April 16th 2019, the organisers at Munich Fabric Start announced their Spring.Summer 2021 edition is set to take place on February 4-6th 2020. Set in the first week of February, Munich Fabric Start is positioned at its original show date in the textile trade show calendar.

Over the years, we at Munich Fabric Start continue to prove ourselves as an industry partner, focused on delivering effective and goal orientated solutions, with the benefits to the entire industry at the forefront. Combined with a deep appreciation for our role and responsibility held as an event organiser.

With the recently confirmed fair date by MILANO UNICA which will overlap with the MUNICH FABRIC START show for the trade fair in February 2020, the responsibility will fall on both organisers to deliver successful and meaningful shows despite the inconveniences and complications imposed on the textile communities as a result.

Limited by the availability of the trade fair venue, Messe München, we ourselves were limited to the action we could have taken to avoid an overlap. Nonetheless, we took action by announcing our show date at the earliest possible time.

We regret the occurring bottlenecks and inconveniences faced by the entire industry. As organisers of an international trade fair, we at Munich Fabric Start have proven our willingness and ability to be flexible, through actions taken to reschedule the show to avoid similar overlaps in the past. Despite our early communications and personal approach to Milano Unica, it is deeply regrettable that the organisers of Milano Unica have unfortunately not taken this planning into account with regards to their own recently published dates.

Focused on the future of the fashion and textile industry, we will continue to grow in our role to deliver a meaningful and successful show in February 2020 as well as all MUNICH FABRIC START events thereafter.
