STUDIO 9’s work with NFC is part of a broader digital transformation. As the EU’s Ecodesign Regulation rolls out, Digital Product Passports (DPPs) will become mandatory for many textile products. In the current Autumn/Winter 2026/27 collection, the Hackenberg Textile Group focuses on innovations in the areas of ribbons, waistbands, textiles and labels. The four colour and theme worlds – Britaly, Bold, Streetwise, and Textured Luxury – reflect a broad range of trends in colours, designs and materials.

Britaly

Elegant – Classic – Timeless. Subtle beige gradations, rich brown tones and various shades of blue form the classic Italian colour palette for the Britaly theme. The designs range from checks, stripes, and paisleys to micro prints that closely resemble woven structures.

Bold

The focus is on clear lines, symmetrical shapes and minimal designs. In addition to geometric patterns, florals and paisleys also play a role. A vibrantly radiant colour scheme with shades like royal blue odea sporty green gives strength to the otherwise subtle prints.

Streetwise

Striking digital prints in vibrant colours such as magenta or neon gradients capture the essence  of the Streetwise theme. Printed reflections and reflective yarns woven into ribbons echo the city lights at night, adding exciting details.

Textured Luxury

Textured Luxury showcases noble woven structures in trendy Italian colour combinations. A strong royal blue provides an extra-fresh accent. The designs range from graphic multicoloured patterns and paisleys to tonal structures that offer a new solid alternative. Tonal 3D wordings on ribbons look modern and can be perfectly combined.

In a world where garments must last longer and brands must encourage mindful purchasing, the fashion industry is being called to help change how we create and consume fashion. While brands are encouraged to find solutions that help extend a garment’s lifespan and promote better consumer habits, Trimco Group aims to support them with options that can contribute to this shift, with the help of QR code labels for transparency, better recycling, trims that can be part of repair initiatives, such as badges, or monomaterial trims for easier waste sorting.

Exhibiting this January at Munich Fabric Start, at booth E2, in Hall 1, Trimco Group is introducing its new trims and packaging collection – RATIO – designed to reimagine what’s possible for Spring/Summer 2026, combining bold creativity with technical expertise. This collection explores innovative materials and techniques as transformative elements that uplift both design and functionality.

Materials That Matter: A Holistic Approach
Trimco Group’s RATIO collection again focuses on innovative materials that align with a forward-thinking vision. Monomaterial items are designed for simplified disposal processes and, together with recycled materials have been a cornerstone of Trimco Group’s collection for the past 3 years. For example, FSC-certified hangtags and strings emphasize functionality and easier waste sorting.

Natural fibers such as Raddis Cotton’s regenerative cotton, wool, or Algae Ink, just to name a few, redefine what’s possible. By combining materials like paper with wool or cotton, we’ve also created textures that intrigue and delight the senses—functional yet strikingly unique.

Design Manager at Trimco Group, Morten Frost Madsen shares, “Materials shape the story of a collection uplifted by extraordinary designs. RATIO challenges conventions by using recycled, natural, and innovative fibers in unexpected ways, ensuring every detail feels intentional and inspiring. We are an internal team of +15 designers and material experts working on the three collections we launch yearly. We have learned a lot about materials in the past years and have seen a boom in innovative options. Our collections are a playground for creativity, where we try to bring the best of materials, trends, and designs to ready-to-use ideas for textile brands“ adds Morten.

The Power of Trims: Identity. Branding. Uniqueness.
“Trims and packaging are branding items we shouldn’t take for granted – they are a signature that transforms the ordinary into the unforgettable,” adds Morten. By experimenting with shapes, textures, and graphic styles, we aim to highlight their potential as powerful branding tools.

From icon-inspired forms to intricate embroideries, every piece of trim was designed to tell a story. Natural materials like wool and cotton add depth, while subtle details enhance the garment’s overall design rather than dominate it.

The items in RATIO go beyond conventional design boundaries. Unconventional shapes, distorted angles, and playful illustrations challenge expectations, offering designers and brands limitless opportunities for customization. Techniques like layering, embroidery, and recycled fibers create a tactile experience that enriches the aesthetic and storytelling value of garments.

The general direction of the RATIO collection reflects a broader trend: the desire to communicate identity in a way that feels authentic and thoughtful. Whether bold and vibrant or subtle and understated, these elements strike the perfect balance between standing out and blending seamlessly into the design.

Design in RATIO reflects the complexities of modern life. Blur and distortion play with clarity, offering a more diverse and intriguing visual experience. Gradients and bold contrasts bring vibrancy, while retro-inspired aesthetics balance nostalgia with innovation.

Typography is also a key player, with serif fonts marking their comeback due to their timeless elegance. Clean lines, geometric patterns, and unconventional illustrations add a contemporary edge, while the rise of “Minimalist Maximalism”—a combination of simplicity and boldness—cements itself as a defining trend that has been lingering for a while now and will probably not disappear too soon.

Color Stories: Energizing the Palette
The color palette in RATIO captures the essence of Spring/Summer 2026. From bleached tones and soft half-hues to the electrifying energy of dazzling pinks, the collection embraces fresh and sophisticated contrasts.

Earth-inspired shades like warm beige and rich browns step into new territory, moving beyond their outdoor origins to bring a sense of luxury. Meanwhile, urban greens offer a gender-fluid appeal, and the evolving spectrum of grays adds versatility. Centered around innovation, materials, and design our concepts aim to showcase how brands can seamlessly integrate responsible product design without compromising on tactile or visual creativity and aesthetics.

Admix

Admix embraces a sporty streetwear look – bold, tactile, and comfortable. The materials are carefully selected: These include recycled polyester and materials that perform well for sports trims, such as recycled TPU and silicone. The packaging follows the same ethos and is made from soft, flexible recycled EVA, recycled LDPE, and FSC™ certified paper. The product images highlight key features such as statement pullers, heat-seal labels, and reusable packaging.

Him & Her:

HIM & HER is a unisex collection that combines sustainability, recycled materials, and a timeless design. With this range, we ensure every detail is made responsibly, from prints using Algae ink™, all the way to the garment labels made from recycled polyester and the hangtags made from FSC™ recycled paper with recycled cotton strings. Product highlights include paper tags using dyed-through FSC™ paper and patches MADE WITH MIRUM®, a 100% biobased leather alternative.

MNDR Capsule

MNDR Capsule is a contemporary brand that elevates everyday casual wear with bright pops of colour and soft gradients. The trims used in this range are made from recycled materials wherever possible, including FSC™ recycled paper tags, recycled polyester sateen labels and recycled metal trims. Product highlights include soft-touch brand labels, logo buttons, and mono-material retail packaging.

Nordbeck Arktik+

With strong, contrasting colors and graphics, Nordbeck Arktik+ boldly blurs the lines between urban streetwear and adventure gear. This concept uses materials proven for trims in the outdoor segment, such as bluesign® certified silicone, recycled ABS, and recycled polyester. Product images feature bold 3D patches, cord stoppers, and high-definition brand labels.

Adrian Foray

Our well-dressed brand Adrian Foray, one might even say preppy, features designs that suit the modern man in both urban and business settings. The trims reflect today’s requirements for responsible production, utilising recycled and biobased materials for labels, trims and packaging. Examples are recycled polyester, corozo and fashion paper made from upcycled industrial residues. New colour and laser accents in real corozzo stand for high-quality manufacturing. The focus is on sophisticated materials such as real horn, urea and quality polyester. Timeless pieces in metal are a must. Cherry and purple dark moon tones provide a certain depth and are rounded off with subtle camel tones.

The four themes represent a wide variety of trends in colours, designs and materials and combine the innovations in the areas of tape, waistband, textile and label. The colours range from classic shades of blue and grey to warm earth tones and strong, radiant colours. The meaningful designs set the strong statements and can be found as pocket lining or in waistband.

Since 1926, Gottstein GmbH & Co. KG has been producing ecological woollen fabrics in Tyrol, Austria. The traditional company has been family-run for four generations and specialises in the processing of wool. In harmony with nature, great importance is attached to sustainable and regional sourcing and production.

At the upcoming MUNICH FABRIC START, Gottstein will be one of some 600 international suppliers who will present their material innovations for the Autumn.Winter 25/26 season in the FABRICS Area. Their new felted fabric collection combines exquisite raw materials, innovation, and sustainability. Here’s a glimpse into what makes this brand-new collection so special:

Quality & Craftmanship

Every fabric in their collection combines exceptional quality and meticulous craftsmanship. Since 1926, they have been producing felted fabrics in Tyrol, Austria. They process the finest wools into exquisite fabrics that are not only durable and long-lasting but also highlight the positive properties of wool.

 

Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Production

They believe in fashion with responsibility and work with renewable raw materials that occur naturally. Their new collection features a range of eco-friendly fabrics, including felted fabrics made from European wool, undyed wool, and GOTS certified fabrics. All their fabrics are produced with minimal environmental impact in our Tyrolean manufactory, allowing you to create stunning pieces without compromising on sustainability.
