Trend Preview for SPRING.SUMMER 25

Now available: CLARITY TREND FORECAST

Spring.Summer 25

22. January 2024

The new summer season’s title is Clarity. It describes the longing for clear structures and simplification against the backdrop of our present environment and the growing complexity in many areas. The search for clarity ranges from the call for transparent production and supply chains to structured fashion themes with a meaningful use of colours, silhouettes and materials. Reduction and realism, paired with imagination and creativity, create a new awareness of quality, sustainability and design competence.

The juxtaposition of rediscovered craftsmanship and new technologies, urban and rural spaces, self-questioning and social cohesion, decoration and function reflect the momentary complexity. They are opposites that inspire each other and raise awareness of the need for quality and responsible consumption. Yet, what they all have in common is the desire to face challenges with confidence and creativity. The latter thrives at the interface between new technologies and tradition. Especially where the past and the future form common ground and the familiar mixes with the new.

The five seasonal themes reflect a broad spectrum that ranges from newly interpreted craftsmanship to the rediscovery of one’s own “I”, the synergy between city and country and the fascination for the unknown. The final theme is responsible optimism, a reminder to be active and confident in shaping our future.

TREND FORECAST Autumn.Winter 24/25

13. July 2023

MUNICH FABRIC START Autumn.Winter 24/25 s all about the seasonal leitmotif EACH OTHER. How can we look into the future without losing our minds? Between utter resignation and blind rage lies a hopeful, wise and unbiased perspective. Our future lies in the diversity of such calm, thoughtful and courageous approaches.

EACH OTHER emphasizes the importance of personal connection. We need to continuously stay in touch with each other, be there for one another and listen attentively – even in difficult times. What’s unique about fashion is that we can promote well-being through a variety of tactile and emotional fabrics and styles – not only in sales and use, but also in the field and in production.

Let’s consciously pursue a common and effective goal: to create something beautiful with fashion and make a contribution to our humanity – for EACH OTHER!

WHAT’S NEW?

A multi-purpose black in combination with a light beige and a new anise are the key colours for Autumn.Winter 24/25. Strange colour duos like yellow/ mango, pink/peach or turquoise/blue bring fresh accents to the colour palette. In contrasts, cold and warm tones play with each other, in dark and light nuances, sometimes loud, sometimes quiet and as neutral or bright colors.

Decorative qualities are a recipe against crisis. Protection wear from cozy, lightweight to heavy weight fabrics are key for winter: a firework of creative yarns in volume, lightness, functionality and fancy combinations. Checks come in all variations, be it loud, quiet, big or small. A touch of trash, tech, nostalgie and 80ies brings bling in all variations. Open weaves or knits bring a nuance of winter transparency.

Casual comfort as standard: functional pragmatic classic and timeless styles come as coats, bomber jackets, suits, casual sakkos or padded styles. We play with extremes in width and wrapping volume for morning coat styles, over-shirts, blazers and baggies. Expressive looks are created for night and day with shine through elements rounded off by retro looks from the sixties, seventies and eighties.

These 5 EACH OTHER trends of MUNICH FABRIC START as well as the 10 denim-, street- and sportswear trends for BLUEZONE under the leitmotif CONNEXXION can be found as a comprehensive trend analysis with detailed colour cards, inspiring materials, moods, prints and styles in our TREND BOOK and COLOUR CODE – available in the trend forums in foyer 2 and 4, the trade show office room B 009 and at the Bluezone check-in counter.

TREND FORECAST Autumn.Winter 23/24

19. August 2022

The MUNICH FABRIC START Autumn.Winter 23/24 will be staged in the seasonal theme FURORE. Catch the eye, cause a stir and get excited about new worlds like the metaverse, a new sense of community or newly developed organic materials. But FURORE also stands for a bit of frenzy and anger about all the things that are going on in the world right now. Outside as well as inside our common industry, which we do not want to close our minds to, but want to and will face up to. The world is changing faster than we are used to.

Let’s join in; from totally invisible to maximum visibility – let’s far furore!

WHAT’S NEW?

The key colours of this season are warm, earthy ochre and a digital-electric blue. Natural hues set the tone – cool or warm – along with deep blue, sulphur, and turquoise contrasted with rainbow highlights.

Materials amaze through new extremes – from maximum padded cosiness to ultra-light fluidity. Patterns blow up to an ultimate size and checks and camouflage are oversized. Wool and fake furs offer an enhanced tactile sensation.

Progressive silhouettes make statements with extreme lengths and oversized cuts. Skinny shapes and cut-outs create a sexy contrast, while new coordinates meet ski-wear influences.

These 5 FURORE trend themes as well as the 4 denim, street and sportswear trends of BLUEZONE under the leading theme CAMPUS can be found as a comprehensive trend analysis with detailed colour cards, inspiring materials, moods, prints and styles in our TREND BOOK and COLOUR CODE.

Our COLOR CODE supports you with a high-quality yarn selection in key seasonal colours when designing the colour palette for your next collection.

We are presenting some of the most inspiring developments, prints and innovations in all our areas: FABRICS, ADDITIONALS, BLUEZONE, DESIGN STUDIOS, SOURCING & KEYHOUSE.

We already introduced some natural and bold FABRICS collections in these two blog articles:

– #1: Natural fabrics like linen and hemp determine the Spring.Summer 23 FABRICS

– #2: Spring.Summer 23 FABRICS are bold, colourful and environmentally friendly

In this third FABRICS article, we will introduce you to the textile collections that are reminiscent of sea, light sunshine and fresh flowers. Be prepared for the full power of pastel colours!

The goal? To be always well dressed and comfortable. Available in different weavings and weights.

————————————————————————–

CASA DA MALHA

Intense and unique: the Spring.Summer 23 collection called “Ambitious” was developed by following the newest trends. CASA DA MALHA designes peculiar knits in bold structures and cheeky colors that can appeal to your senses but also be comfortable and versatile – with the intention of proving that sustainability and premium designs can go hand in hand. The fabric specialist offers innovative materials like biodegradable polyamide, natural dies, pineapple, nettle and hemp fibers in various colours.

————————————————————————–

JJR and Onset

JJR and Onset’s Spring.Summer 23 collection is a splash of colours, flowers and sustainability. Getting back to the company’s roots and understanding the importance of the environment, a range of hand-woven and hand-embroidered fabrics by artisans is presented. A collection consisting of sustainable, organic fabrics like cotton and silk, as well as beautifully embellished textiles using techniques of embroidery, print and tie-dye.

————————————————————————–

Linas AB

Linas is proud to present its newest innovation: fabrics from recycled linen. The most exciting part: it leaves no waste! Nothing. Nada. All of the textile waste used to be called left-overs from the manufacturing process is now recycled into brand new yarns. For the first time, recycled yarns are 100% made of linen in contrast to the synthetic materials usually coming from recycled yarns. Linas aims to change the view on waste by creating a new resource from recycling.

————————————————————————–

YILDIRIM TEKSTIL

The theme for Spring.Summer 23 is REVIVAL. Yildirim Tekstil tries to express the awakening of the revival that is revealed by the freshness of the spring, the heat of the summer. A june breeze created with materials that respect nature and prioritize protection using fresh, clear and bright warm colors in the awakening of nature.

————————————————————————–

ZEYNAR MENSUCAT

In the current pandemic, Zeynar Tekstil realized more than ever that we need to fulfill our responsibilities towards nature. Therefore, Zeynar prepared a vivid and dynamic collection for Spring.Summer 23 with the philosophy of being respectful to nature. Spring.Summer 21 Fabric News at VIEW

As in the recent past, the range of collections offered by printers, knitters, weavers and denim specialists is already clearly defined in many areas. In exchange with designers and product managers and taking into account current trends, the range will be extended and adapted accordingly until MUNICH FABRIC START, 4th – 6th February 2020.

It is already apparent that the range of colours is moving in the direction of brown, cognac and terracotta; that black and white combinations are becoming important; that red with a slight orange hue is gaining significance and blue in various shades is increasingly in demand.

‘Right at the beginning of the first day, we served numerous visitors from Germany and Austria. At the moment, we are already presenting up to 80 percent of the new collection. In the weeks after Christmas we will add an additional Capsule collection. There is great interest in sustainable articles. We will be developing further qualities for this in time for the main trade fair.‘

Ted Styliandis of Liberty London.

Florals and newly interpreted batiks continue to dominate the prints as striking all-overs. Digitally applied kaleidoscopic interpretations are just as convincing as large format graphics and panneaux prints. Structured effects and crepe yarns are important, even in plain colours. Linen is widely accepted in various interpretations. From irregular plain colours to woven stripes, checks and jacquards. The trend towards cotton and cotton blends in combination with Tencel is strong once again. In contrast to this are articles with a technical finish – now even extending into the classically oriented women’s and menswear.
The demand for comfortable textiles with some part stretch is also increasing among high-fashion producers or even couture suppliers.

‘This edition of VIEW was a very successful premiere for us. We will be back again in summer for the next VIEW event. The response to our wide range of print collections was pleasingly positive. In discussions with numerous customers, we received a lot of input about the future development of our collection in time for MUNICH FABRIC START.‘

Yesim Sezer, Ipeker

Many of the collections presented at VIEW will now be further revised in the coming weeks and presented at the MUNICH FABRIC START February 4th-6th 2020, at which a total of around 1,000 suppliers will present their Spring.Summer collections.
