EVERY.BODY SS23 Trend #4 – Wild Wide World

Wild Wide World

The race to the metaverse

26. May 2022

We are happy to present you the Spring.Summer 23 trend themes included in our MUNICH FABRIC START Trend Book. We hope the themes will give you the impression of what the next season will bring and that they will inspire you and spark new ideas for your future collections’ development.

WILD.WIDE.WORLD is our 4th trend theme and frankly it tends to be slightly unexpected and a little wild… This is where minimalistic geometrical shapes are being overlaid with traditional patterns to create a cultural screenshot, and where artisanal and folkloric forces meet and race towards creativity.

Quotes from the most diverse cultures of the real and virtual worlds are uninhibitedly mixed and tested

Which colours are of highest importance?

Apparently deep aubergine, dark indigo, earthy browns and blacks root us deeply into our homeland. Warm reds and oranges in the matte brilliance of natural pigments are also added to the palette. Urban accents are included with shining sand and cooper tones. Black is a flexible base colour – either washed out or in True black.

Bold fashion pioneers dive into phygital depths and bring back a style souvenir or two from there. Quotes from the most diverse cultures of the real and virtual worlds are uninhibitedly mixed and tested.

Prints, patterns & connection with nature

WILD.WIDE.WORLD theme is all about ritual motifs from healing and bonding ceremonies – and POWER. Animal prints reappear here like a mirage in a desert, offering an abstract alternative to pre-seasons in an artistic hand-painted style. Interwoven interpretations of patchwork in restrained colours underline the handcrafted character of the theme, while marbled and mineral prints confirm the connection to nature.

EVERY.BODY SS23 Trend #3 - BAROQUE.POP

BAROQUE.POP

the maximalist mood of this trend theme needs expressive fabrics

17. May 2022

We are happy to present you the Spring.Summer 23 trend themes included in our MUNICH FABRIC START Trend Book. We hope the themes will give you the impression of what the next season will bring and that they will inspire you and spark new ideas for your future collections’ development.

BAROQUE.POP is the third trend theme included in our Spring.Summer 23 Trend Books. The maximalist mood of BAROQUE.POP needs expressive fabrics with extraordinary surfaces and rich decorations to shine. Without a doubt, this theme is best shown in unique surfaces – technical materials like sporty mesh fabrics or highly elastic stretch are at its core. Full of juxtapositions, BAROQUE.POP is responsible for releasing unlimited amounts of expressive energy.

Bold colours and otherworldly reflections – real and virtual – lure us onto the festival playground in this extroverted theme…

TURN UP THE VOLUME !

BAROQUE.POP is pretty much about celebration. The desire to celebrate concludes with expressively beaming colours – heavily influenced by the sportswear aesthetics. The motto of strong colour combinations is: Don’t be afraid of contrasts! Make statements! In juxtaposition, primary colours multiply their power. When used as solid tones – they reveal the spirit of expressive energy. Metallic coatings and the use of intensive gloss effects is definitely a move towards the virtual future…

Inspired by fantasy creatures of the techno era and gaming, patterns pop up as hip graphics.
3-D effects, sometimes visual, sometimes haptic additionally activate prints and patterns…

MORE IS MORE.

The details of BAROQUE.POP follow a simple formula – MORE IS MORE. From futuristic trimmings, accessories, prints or through styling itself. Prints and colours are courageously and playfully layered. The playful aspect of this trend theme is shown in an almost childlike joy of combining such different elements together. Overcoming the conventional idea of beauty is the stylistic goal of the BAROQUE.POP trend theme. Combining crew socks in pool slides with bucket hats over hoods are the beginning of new aesthetics.

Fabrics glitter, sparkle and shine but always with the reassurance that sequins and coatings are sustainable. Even at the peak of exhilaration, BAROQUE.POP remains focused on sustainability, new technologies and provocative designs.

EVERY.BODY SS23 Trend #2 - SOUVENIR D'UN MOMENT

SOUVENIR D’UN MOMENT

- the joy of carefree happiness and the little things in life -

11. May 2022

We are happy to present you the Spring.Summer 23 trend themes included in our MUNICH FABRIC START Trend Book. We hope the themes will give you the impression of what the next season will bring and that they will inspire you and spark new ideas for your future collections’ development.

SOUVENIR D’UN MOMENT is our second theme that is all about the search for happiness, joy and all the little things in life. This theme loves loose and relaxed, silky materials with hand-printed or regular prints and motifs. It definitely brings back this ‘Brigitte Bardot’ holiday vibe with a playful twist.

Even though, the moments of relaxation and joy are of highest importance within the SOUVENIR D’UN MOMENT theme, the sensuality, romance and a little bit of sex appeal are also crucial here. Shorts, midriff revealing tops and subtle cut-outs are the elements that represent the carefree aspect of SOUVENIR D’UN MOMENT. The overall feeling is that those colourful and intriguing textiles and cuts put you in a good mood and spread pure joie de vivre!

Playful details allow this theme to breathe with smiling ease

What colours stand out the most? Just imagine a poetic watercolour painting – calming blues, violets and yellow tones are paired with cool neutrals like matte greens and khaki. Off-whites and light-greys highlight the palette with perfect high-summer shades.

EVERY.BODY SS23 Trend #1 – AUGMENTED ESSENTIALS

Augmented Essentials

The need for mindful products

2. May 2022

After a long period of disruption and restriction, we enter the trend themes of MUNICH FABRIC START for Spring.Summer 23 with a new feeling – in fact, a new definition – of individuality and community. We are looking towards a time that will redefine our perception on many levels. We are longing for a post-pandemic world where everything is “back to normal”, and at the same time, we realise this magic moment of resolution and healing will not suddenly arise. Instead, we are experiencing a process of redefining meaningfulness, happiness, sustainability and participation.

In search of optimism, a new balance and an individual self-image, we rediscover ourselves and others with an improved worldliness and tolerance. We feel a new kind of empathy and connection to the grand human and climatic issues. Fashion that is guided by social activism and that creates products with a purpose pushes us towards truemorrow – towards a more fulfilling future. We take a new course with our lives with the goal of doing more good.

The upcoming blog articles will feature 4 trends of EVERY.BODY Spring.Summer 23. This first blog article is about Augmented Essentials and the need for mindful products. Find out what this trend is about:

Progressive, sustainable, and reduced to the max – in Augmented Essentials, the hidden benefits of fashion count more than ever before. Rediscovered natural materials and revolutionary features satisfy the hunger for mindful products.

Knowledge and information become crucial here. Disguised within the smart, minimalist designs, they appear on the label – listed as the most important material and as critical knowledge.

In the process of achieving a fully holistic lifestyle, research and science provide the correct answers. Thus, clever e-bikes are becoming a global choice, and biodegradable plastics are the key to truly ecological, circular products.

At the same time, customers are adapting more mindful consumption patterns and tend to prefer products that support non-profit organisations. Mindful products are therefore becoming increasingly important.

AW 21/22 Trend Analysis #5: Gameshifter

AW 21/22 Trend Analysis: GAMESHIFTER

24. November 2020

The Autumn.Winter 21/22 Trend Forecast by MUNICH FABRIC START presents HOPETIMISM, this season’s title which stands for hope and optimism – it is a mindset that explores new ways and perspectives. Its spirit brings our industry together during a very challenging time to design innovative products and processes that fulfil new market needs. The MUNICH FABRIC START Trend Team presents the 5 trend themes for AW21/22: FOREVER, DREAMATIC, EARTHTOPIA HAPPY CHAOS & GAMESHIFTER.

HOPETIMISM AW21/22 Trend Themes

FOREVER stands for semi-elegant, cosy and classic home & all day wear.

DREAMATIC creatively stages a progressive and urban casual fashion.

EARTHTOPIA shows a strong consciousness for function and tradition.

HAPPY CHAOS is an optimistic playground for sports, diy, craftsmanship and improvisation.

GAMESHIFTER combines futuristic high-tech innovation with flashy glamour.

Now we look at the final trend theme GAMESHIFTER:

HOPETIMISM TREND THEME #5: GAMESHIFTER

GAMESHIFTER is a word play made up of Gamechanger and Shapeshifter. Existing realities are mixed with visionary prospects for the future. Gamechangers are changing the world and may be the ones to find the vaccine against Covid-19, while a Shapeshifter make sure of artifitial intelligence as a hybrid between a man and a machine.

With GAMESHIFTER, the combination of both these influences form a trend that awakens the desire for the right balance of consumption, that is both desired and allowed.

We dive into a world of dark colours, which also has something mystical and dystopian about it. The palette is energized by rich, silky, decorative baroque colours. The sporty mix of these colours creates an exciting colour palette.

For the full AW21/22 Trend Forecast which includes Pantone, Coloro and Archroma colour codes combines a mix of fashion trends, sustainability and innovation alongside current inspirations in art, culture, architecture and design, order your copy here.

GAMESHIFTER allows two different material worlds to meet. On the one hand that of stable and dramatic fabrics and trimmings, in which a functional approach determines the decorative material development. This is achieved with powerful synthetics, polyamide sportswear, structural volume, quilted and embossed textiles, jacquard, tech jersey or fly knit.

For accessories, the material mix combines lamé, lurex, glitter and dark metallic colours for buttons and ribbons.

AW 21/22 Trend Analysis #4: Happy Chaos

AW 21/22 Trend Analysis: HAPPY CHAOS

Next we look at the trend theme HAPPY CHAOS:

HOPETIMISM TREND THEME #4: HAPPY CHAOS

Characteristic for the HAPPY CHAOS are the optimistic doers in the interplay of new digital and analogue realities and identities. Problems are mastered in a playful way, an open approach to the new family reality is cultivated.  Thanks to the influences of technology, real ideas in this field are served virtually – for example, through digital fashion collections on social media channels that are only shown online and are not available in reality.

We find ourselves between gaming, digital learning and working. HAPPY CHAOS is loud, exaggerated and excessive. This is also reflected in the HAPPY CHAOS colour palette:

Soft, natural basic colours such as neutral brown and khaki tones are contrasted with cheerful, bright Nintendo colours. Offwhite plays with intense colours like sporty fake neons in yellow and blue through brightness and depth.

For the full AW21/22 Trend Forecast which includes Pantone, Coloro and Archroma colour codes combines a mix of fashion trends, sustainability and innovation alongside current inspirations in art, culture, architecture and design, order your copy here.

HAPPY CHAOS uses a wild mix of materials; vinyl meets recycled polyester, cotton and unusual textiles. Transparency also plays a major role – in materials, finishes and accessories.Trims are often laser-cut or have metallic details. Patterns appear as if created by a random generator, with digital prints and unpredictable collages. Strong, intense colours are often used, but only subtly, and combined with natural elements.

AW 21/22 Trend Analysis: EARTHTOPIA

HAPPY CHAOS is an optimistic playground for sports, diy, craftsmanship and improvisation.

GAMESHIFTER combines futuristic high-tech innovation with flashy glamour.

We focus next on the trend theme EARTHTOPIA:

HOPETIMISM TREND THEME #3: EARTHTOPIA

EARTHTOPIA is made up of EARTH and UTOPIA and deals with the desire and striving for a healthier world. We want to give something back to the earth, give it space to recover. But it is also about the human being who recovers in nature and recharges his resources.

Especially in challenging times such as the current situation, there are more people than ever drawn to nature to pursue the longing for silence and peace. But EARTHTOPIA also puts nature itself in a central light – gigantic and imposing. The power of the forest, of water, mountains and glaciers becomes tangible and visible here.

In keeping with the theme, the focus is on natural colour tones that especially appear through warm-cold-contrasts. The spectrum of colours ranges from coloured stone tones to warmer earthy, muddy and mossy nuances. Accents in this natural palette are set by a fiery rust tone and an icy glacial mint.

For the full AW21/22 Trend Forecast which includes Pantone, Coloro and Archroma colour codes combines a mix of fashion trends, sustainability and innovation alongside current inspirations in art, culture, architecture and design, order your copy here.

This trend is about traditional materials that have a technical function – often also in a material mix: for example, in the form of natural materials mixed with synthetics. At the same time, the search is on for recycled and innovative trimming materials.

The atmosphere of wilderness and adventure is created by faux fur and teddy plush, but also natural dyes and camouflage bacterial stains. The same applies to functional patching in muted earth colours and the use of wood, stonenut and cotton linen as materials. Prints are mainly replicas of nature, while traditional checks and herringbone also set the tone for prints.

GAMESHIFTER combines futuristic high-tech innovation with flashy glamour.

We focus next on the trend theme DREAMATIC:

HOPETIMISM TREND THEME #2: DREAMATIC

DREAMATIC is a word creation combining DREAM and DRAMATIC – the theme is characterised by longing and melancholy, merged with a positive outlook. Here you will find the progressive poets and visionaries who actively seek solutions to current challenges. These digital humanists are dreamy and imaginative, but always have a connection to reality. With this attitude, worlds can be moved.

Blue is the focus here and represents the fluidity and movement of water and air. Contrasted by delicate natural tones such as hibiscus or vicuna. The distinct look of this trend comes from the faded primary colours and degradé tones, which can be found in shades of blues and reds.

When it comes to fabrics and materials, we encounter provocative, punk batiks and pastel fades, which are combined with classics such as a simple herringbone coat or elegant pumps. Classic elements in delicate colours with highly technical 3D patterns are decorated in a charming way and produced with a high attention to detail and craftsmanship. Romantic floral prints are found in combination with shiny, reflective, technical or transparent materials.
