They have also had fun creating distorted and blurred florals with a modern aesthetic. LICA DESIGN STUDIO

Lica‘s new versatile print collection for Spring/Summer 24 is based on two poles that form the essence: ‚Superfluity‘ and ‚Understatement. There are various reasons to find joy in the opulence of colors and shapes: It dresses you in self-confidence during uncertain times. And, it might make you question what is real, as the natural and virtual worlds blend. The diametrically opposed ‘Understatement’ finds peace in the reduction of color and the disappearance of form. It looks for nothing less than the essence of harmony. Solitude can be defined as a luxury.

Is it hard to stay innovative?

Not at all; innovation and creation have always been our goals since we started in 2016. Without breaking boundaries, our day-to-day job will be useless.

The theme Nature is reflected in natural surface structures and motifs from flora and fauna. Both cold and warm colour combinations are given a pleasantly warm character for the cold winter days thanks to roughened and sanded basic goods. Flower prints on dark backgrounds printed on flowing viscose satin and silk chiffon perfectly match the new Dark Romance trend. Marbled prints allow for a luxurious and individual look in elegant colour schemes. Bohemian prints with dark contrasting tones are also suitable for the winter season, both as an all over motif and as a patchwork print.

“While nothing beats the actual opportunity to feel a fabric, look at how it drapes and easily compare one weight with another, we endeavour to be well-placed to present the collection as best we can using technology with videos and virtual meetings. This will most certainly be of major importance over the coming months,” explains managing director Nick Moore. He adds: “We are continuing to invest in the future, but with the flexibility to adapt the business to meet what will be a changing world of how fabrics are sourced by ourselves and our customers. We are currently enjoying testing new ideas and continuing to search for new supplies so we can improve our offer to customers.”

DESIGN STUDIOS

PRIMUS PATTERN – H3 | B 18

The Autumn.Winter 21/22 collection at Primus Pattern, gently ranges from mindfulness and durability to elegance and radiant expression. In terms of colour, the collection for the coming season is balanced in the lively shades of nature, such as deep blue, dark cadmium green, washed out black and sublime mud nuances. Accents are set by a lively apricot, matt copper to daring outliers such as an intense tango red or concentrated fruit tones. Formally, the new prints oscillate between noble retro ideas, structured imitations of nature and timeless geometric approaches. For a feeling of security and courage, all new textile designs have been developed with care and attention in these fragile times.

ZISSER TEXTILE DESIGN – H3 | D 17

Nature is the starting point for the Autumn.Winter 21/22 novelties of Zisser Textile Design. Falling leaves, peaceful blues of the sky and natural, neutral shades… Let’s walk deeper into the forest and find its mystery! The animal kingdom is surrounded by the abundance of plants, flowers, trees. The best patterns are made swiftly by the movement of the winds, which creates geometrical shapes and unique compositions. The autumn and winter colour palette touches dramatic, with deep tones but also immersing itself in natural soft colours and introducing groups of lighter or muted colours. The range of prints from the Zisser Textile Design collection is diverse and vivid in their expression. Their designers experiment with new media, tested various brushes and are experienced with dyeing and colouring techniques. Zisser’s prints always stand for uniqueness and boldness.
